Where Pets Are Family, and Care Comes from the Heart

Dr. Amber Baughman received her D.V.M. from the University of Missouri-CVM in 2001. After nine years of mixed animal practice, a family move brought her back to the Columbia area. Dr. Amber works part time at Noah’s Ark Animal Hospital and enjoys the family medicine component of practice, watching pets grow from puppy to geriatric and all of the milestones in between. In her free time, Dr. Amber enjoys working with her family on their sheep farm and also leads a county 4-H Club.

Dr. Hollie Dennis received her D.V.M. at the University of Missouri- CVM in 2014. After graduation, she moved to her husband’s hometown of Moberly, Missouri, where she worked at a mixed animal clinic for 6 years before joining our team at Noah’s Ark. She really loves the opportunity in veterinary medicine to help animals of all species in all aspects of life, as well as be a part of the human-animal bond. She enjoys spending time with her husband, two sons, dogs, cat and horses. She loves the outdoors, playing sports, trail riding, fishing, swimming, and crafts.

Dr. Sherman is a graduate of the University of Missouri and has practiced in St. Louis and Columbia, MO. She loves seeing exotic pets of many varieties including birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, small mammals, and more! In her free time, she loves adventuring with her wife and family, spending time with their pets, and crafting.

Dr. Rauch graduated from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 2023. After completing her veterinary education, she gained hands-on experience through an equine internship before transitioning into private practice. Her passion lies in soft tissue surgery and geriatric care. Currently residing in Boonville, she hails from southwest Missouri. In her free time, Dr. Rauch indulges in reading, hiking, and nurturing her many houseplants. She has two dogs, Barley and Gracie, and a cat named Raz. 

Bayli has been part of the Noah’s Ark Animal Hospital team since 2021. As a Veterinary Assistant, she loves getting to know each individual patient and their unique personality. Her passion for animal care is clear in everything she does, and she truly believes that even the hardest day with animals is better than an easy day without them.

Bayli graduated from MACC’s Veterinary Technology Program in 2025, giving her a strong foundation in patient care and medical support. She’s proud to work in a field that allows her to build meaningful relationships with pets and their families while continuing to learn and grow.

Outside of the clinic, Bayli enjoys spending time with her own pets, reading, attending sporting events, and traveling. At home, she shares her life with Samurai, a fun-loving German Shepherd who enjoys swimming and playing with her toy ball, and Hero, a cuddly Beagle mix who loves chewing on her favorite toys. Together, they’re experienced RV travelers who love new adventures.

Bayli’s favorite animal book is What’s My Dog Thinking? and her favorite movie is Spirit, both of which reflect her deep love for animals and the special bond they share with people.

Amanda has been a welcoming and familiar face at Noah’s Ark since 2015. As a Receptionist, she loves building meaningful relationships with both pets and their families. One of her favorite parts of working in veterinary medicine is watching animals grow and thrive from playful puppies and kittens into healthy, happy adults.

Amanda’s friendly personality and care for every client who walks through the door help make Noah’s Ark a warm and inviting place.

At home, Amanda enjoys spending time with her two Pomeranians, Chewy and Poppy, who bring lots of love and energy to her days.

Judy has been part of Noah’s Ark Animal Hospital for more than three decades. She first joined the team in 1991 as a part-time employee and transitioned to full-time in 1994. Over the years, she’s seen the hospital grow and evolve, but one thing has never changed: its kindness and compassion. Judy is proud to be part of a team that continues to lead with heart after 35 years.

Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is building lasting relationships with both clients and their pets. She has loved watching generations of families come through the doors and considers both the two-legged and four-legged clients part of the Noah’s Ark family.

Judy is a graduate of William Woods University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Equestrian Studies in 1984. She also completed Farrier and Dentistry training in 1979 and worked as a Manager and Investigator at Callaway Hills Animal Shelter from 1984 to 1994, giving her a well-rounded foundation in animal care and welfare.

When she’s not at the clinic, Judy enjoys visiting her children in Kentucky and Georgia, caring for her animals, and attending horse shows. Her furry and hoofed family includes three dogs (Guinea, a Brussels Griffon; Newbie, a Pyrenees mix; and Minnie, an Australian Shepherd), her beloved cat Mickey, and six horses. Four of the horses were saved from a meat auction, one Saddlebred came to her in need of a home, and one Welsh/Arab is a retired eventer.

A Boston native, Judy grew up on the South Shore and still carries a hint of her Boston accent. She loves eventing American Saddlebreds and Brussels Griffons, has a weakness for McRibs, and insists M&M’s are a food group of their own.

Judy’s humor, dedication, and deep love for animals make her a beloved member of the Noah’s Ark family and a cornerstone of the clinic’s culture.

Reanna joined Noah’s Ark Animal Hospital in 2024 and quickly found her place supporting both pets and their families. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is being able to “speak out” for the patients in her care and helping owners understand how to make their animals’ lives healthier and happier.

She has always been drawn to both animals and people, and veterinary medicine became the perfect way to combine those passions. Once she learned more about the field, she knew it was exactly where she wanted to be. Reanna is currently attending Midwest Institute as she continues to build her skills and knowledge while gaining hands-on experience in the clinic.

In her free time, Reanna enjoys crocheting and reading, two hobbies that let her unwind and recharge.

At home, she shares her life with Ace, her Boxer mix who loves to “yell” at her and play with his new friend Mr. Milo, a fun-loving Pitty who keeps him busy.

One of Reanna’s favorite animal movies is Dolphin Tale, a story that reflects her love for animals and the meaningful connections they bring into our lives.

Reanna’s compassion, curiosity, and dedication make her a wonderful part of the Noah’s Ark team.

Sydney has been a valued member of the Noah’s Ark Animal Hospital & Bird Clinic team since 2016. As a Veterinary Assistant, she enjoys building meaningful connections with clients and being an advocate for their pets’ overall wellbeing. Helping families understand and support their animals is one of the most rewarding parts of her work.

Sydney is deeply committed to both learning and growth. She is currently working toward her degree to become a Registered Veterinary Technician and already holds a degree in Agricultural Education from Kansas State University. Balancing full-time work and school keeps her busy, but it also reflects her strong dedication to the veterinary field.

When she does find a little free time, Sydney enjoys reading and baking, even if those moments are few and far between. At home, she shares life with Willie, her lovable Golden Retriever. A proud Kansas State supporter, she adds a cheerful “Go Cats!” whenever she gets the chance.

Sydney’s favorite book pick may not be traditionally animal-focused, but Fourth Wing earns a top spot thanks to its dragons. After all, who doesn’t love a good dragon story?

Sydney’s drive, compassion, and commitment make her an important part of the Noah’s Ark team and someone clients and coworkers alike are glad to have around.

Addison joined Noah’s Ark Animal Hospital & Bird Clinic in 2024 and brings a strong passion for animal advocacy to her role as a Veterinary Assistant. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is helping give animals a voice and supporting clients as they learn more about their pets. She finds great fulfillment in building understanding and trust between pets and the people who love them.

Addison holds an Associate’s Degree in Animal Science and is currently a student in the Veterinary Technology Program at Moberly Area Community College, where she is set to graduate in May 2026 and become a Registered Veterinary Technician. She plans to continue her education at the University of Missouri in the Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Technology program, with the goal of earning a Veterinary Technician Specialty in either Dentistry or Large Animal Internal Medicine.

When she’s not at the clinic or studying, Addison enjoys spending time outdoors hunting and fishing, baking, and attending as many country music concerts as possible. At home, she is happily owned by Poppy, her French Bulldog, who lives up to her diva reputation.

Addison’s favorite movies include Milo and Otis and Pure Country, starring George Strait. A proud lifelong Mizzou Tiger, she has lived in Columbia for 22 years and brings that hometown pride with her wherever she goes.

Leslie joined Noah’s Ark Animal Hospital & Bird Clinic in 2020, bringing with her a rich background in the equine world. Prior to veterinary medicine, she worked as a professional trainer, instructor, and competitor, specializing in rehabilitating emotionally and physically damaged horses. Using classical dressage principles alongside modern equine behavioral science, Leslie helped horses rebuild both body and mind. She has found great fulfillment in adapting those same principles of patience, communication, and behavioral understanding to working with dogs and cats, embracing the opportunity to explore different minds and species.

Leslie attended Stephens College, earning majors in Equine Science, Biology and Natural Science, and Education. She also studied Fine Art at Columbia College and continues to pursue her artistic passions today, creating portraits of animals and other works inspired by the natural world.

Outside of the clinic, Leslie enjoys gardening, reading mythological translations, psychology, and philosophy, as well as hiking and kayaking. She still works with a few former equine clients, maintaining her connection to the horse world.

At home, Leslie shares her life with Clark, her senior Lab cross, and Edgar, her barn cat. Clark is navigating his golden years, so Leslie is not adding any new pups to the household just yet. Edgar prefers to be the only cat, and his wishes are respectfully honored. Though currently horseless, Leslie admits she would not turn down a Shetland pony or a black Lab in the future.

When it comes to entertainment, Leslie gravitates toward documentaries and historical films, often following favorite character actors rather than a specific genre.

Leslie’s depth of knowledge, thoughtful approach, and lifelong dedication to animal behavior make her a valued member of the Noah’s Ark team.

Shanon joined Noah’s Ark Animal Hospital & Bird Clinic in 2023 and has loved every opportunity to work with animals and expand her knowledge each day. She enjoys the constant learning that comes with veterinary medicine and finds it incredibly rewarding to care for pets of all shapes and sizes.

Shanon earned her Bachelor’s degree in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism from the University of Missouri–Columbia. She is currently continuing her education at Moberly Area Community College in the Veterinary Technician Program, working toward becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician.

When she’s not at the clinic or studying, Shanon enjoys hiking with her dogs, tending to her garden, and listening to audiobooks. Spending time outdoors is one of her favorite ways to recharge.

At home, she shares life with two adventurous pups. Freya, a 9-year-old German Shepherd mix, keeps a close watch on her at all times and has a strong, and sometimes adorable, obsession with her laser pointer. Basic Baby, a 2.5-year-old St. Bernard and Anatolian Shepherd mix, is endlessly fascinated by squirrels and loves playing with her fishing pole toy. Both girls are happiest when they are out exploring the trails.

Shanon’s love of learning, dedication to her education, and passion for animals make her a wonderful part of the Noah’s Ark team.

Sara has been a valued member of the Noah’s Ark Animal Hospital & Bird Clinic team since 2018. As a Veterinary Assistant, she appreciates that no two days are ever the same. The variety that comes with veterinary medicine keeps her engaged, and she finds it incredibly rewarding to help animals and support the people who love them.

Outside of the clinic, Sara enjoys spending time at home with her husband, their two children, and their grandson. As a family, they love being outdoors and often take advantage of the opportunity to ride their side-by-side and enjoy time together.

At home, Sara shares her life with two very lazy and absolutely adorable Pit Bulls. They are happiest when they have plenty of treats and even more snuggles.

Sara’s steady presence, dedication, and love for animals make her an important part of the Noah’s Ark team.

McKenzie joined Noah’s Ark Animal Hospital & Bird Clinic in 2024 as a Client Service Representative. She loves having the opportunity to connect with both people and animals during some of life’s most meaningful moments, whether they are joyful milestones or more challenging times. For McKenzie, this role is the perfect blend of her lifelong love for animals and her passion for working with people.

McKenzie attended Columbia College from 2019 to 2023, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Her background in psychology helps her bring empathy and understanding to every interaction at the front desk.

Outside of work, McKenzie enjoys listening to music, spending time with her family and fiancé, and relaxing with her favorite shows on streaming platforms.

At home, she cares for two special pets. Bean, her 5-year-old Dutch rabbit, was rescued with a friend at the beginning of COVID. She also has Sophie, her 9-year-old cockapoo who loves to snuggle and enthusiastically bark at geese.One of McKenzie’s favorite animal movies is A Dog’s Purpose, a story that reflects the deep bond between pets and the people who love them.

McKenzie’s compassion, positivity, and dedication make her a valued part of the Noah’s Ark team.

Bailey joined Noah’s Ark Animal Hospital & Bird Clinic in 2026 and is excited to begin her career in veterinary medicine. As a client service representative, she enjoys being the bridge between clients and the veterinary team, helping provide reassurance, answer questions, and ensure every pet owner feels supported throughout their visit. She is eager to learn and grow while delivering compassionate service to every family who walks through the door.

Originally from a ranch in Texas, Bailey recently relocated to Missouri and enjoys discovering new places that make Columbia feel like home. In her free time, you’ll often find her reading classic literature or modern romance novels, spending time with friends, or relaxing with her senior calico cat, Gumbo, affectionately known as Gummy. With no teeth and a calm, unbothered personality, Gummy is happiest curled up in her favorite bed or Bailey’s.

Bailey also loves watching wildlife documentaries and learning new facts about animals from around the world. Her warm personality, eagerness to learn, and genuine love for both pets and people make her a wonderful addition to the Noah’s Ark Animal Hospital & Bird Clinic team.
